| The newer long split down pipes offer better spool up and mid range power then old short splits or good open style down pipes. But any down pipe is a huge improvement overall compaired to precats! The peak gain from just changing down pipes when you have test pipes and a good cat-back is 30-40 hp depending on how good the tune and overall condition of the engine and components are. The only time the gain is less then 30 hp with down pipes is if it is necked back down with stock cats.
